Celebrating a Year of Spartan Support
The 2025–2026 school year was an exciting and productive year for the Memorial Spartan Athletics Booster Club. Thanks to our members, volunteers, families, community partners, and supporters, we were able to provide meaningful financial and community support to Spartan Athletics.
Our goal is simple: to help create opportunities and experiences that allow Vel Phillips Memorial student-athletes and athletic programs to thrive.
And this year, our Spartan community delivered!
By the Numbers
$65,000 Invested in Spartan Athletics
Our support reached athletic teams and the athletic department in a variety of ways throughout the year.
$47,000 Raised through Booster Club & Team Fundraisers
Fundraising included community events, concessions, merchandise sales, raffles, restaurant partnerships, and other activities.
$54,000 Generated Through Concessions
Our concession program continued to be one of our most important sources of support. These numbers represent more than dollars and hours. They represent a community coming together to support Spartan student-athletes.

Investing Directly in Our Athletes
During the 2025–2026 school year, the Booster Club invested over $65,000 in athletic teams and the athletic department.
Equipment & Uniforms — $32,000
The Booster Club provided funding for important equipment and resources, including:
- Football helmets and pads
- Golf clubs
- Weight room equipment
- Scorer’s table
- Starting blocks and Prowler sleds
- Batting cage nets
- Wrestling mats
- Lacrosse helmets
Hudl — $14,000
We continued our investment in Hudl sports technology, giving Spartan teams valuable tools to support athletics and enhance the experience for athletes, coaches, families, and fans.
Team Spirit & Fan Experience — $13,000
Supporting Spartan Athletics isn’t just about equipment. We also invested in creating a positive and spirited experience for our athletes and fans with T-shirts and rally towels, fan buses, admission support for regional and conference games and matches, and other efforts to promote VPM and enhance the fan experience
Speed & Strength — $5,000
The Booster Club supported the 2026 Speed & Strength Summer Program, helping student-athletes prepare for their upcoming seasons.
Scholarships — $3,000
We were proud to provide six financial scholarships to support Spartan student-athletes as they continue their educational journeys.
Camps & Coaches Training — $1,500
We also provided support for camps and coach training to help strengthen our athletic programs.
Fundraising That Makes a Difference
Our fundraising efforts generated $47,000 during the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
Of that total:
$34,000 went to the Booster Club General Fund
$13,000 was raised through team fundraisers
Fundraising activities included:
- Coldplay Concert Concessions
- Brat Fest
- American Family Golf Tournament
- UW Men’s Basketball Game Concessions
- Yard Sign Sales
- Calendar Raffle
- Trivia Night
- Merchandise Sales
We also partnered with local businesses including Portillo’s, Panera, Kendra Scott, City BBQ, Culver’s, Forage Kitchen, Play It Again Sports, and Chipotle.
Every fundraiser provides another opportunity to put resources back into Spartan Athletics.
The Power of Volunteers
One of the greatest successes of the year was the tremendous commitment of our volunteers.
Our concession program generated over $53,000 while involving:
347 volunteers
1,500 volunteer hours
87 concession stands
Whether working a concession stand, helping at an event, supporting a fundraiser, serving on the Board, or simply spreading the word about the Booster Club, every contribution matters.
Spartan Athletics succeeds because Spartans show up.
Supporting the Entire Spartan Community
The Memorial Spartan Athletics Booster Club is open to anyone who wants to support student-athletes at Vel Phillips Memorial High School. Membership benefits the sports in which your student-athlete participates, making membership an important way to support Spartan Athletics.
During the 2025–2026 school year, we had 128 active memberships.
But there is still room to grow.
Our vision is to continue building a strong community of athletes, students, coaches, parents, families, alumni, and supporters who work together to create a positive and spirited atmosphere for all Spartan athletic programs.
Looking Ahead
The 2025–2026 school year demonstrated what is possible when our community comes together. As we begin another year, we are excited to build on that momentum and continue finding ways to:
- Provide equipment and resources to athletic teams
- Support student-athlete opportunities
- Enhance the Spartan fan experience
- Support coaches and athletic programs
- Create new fundraising opportunities
- Grow our membership
- Bring more families and community members into the Spartan Athletics family

Annual memberships are $25 recommended ($5 minimum), with 2-year, 4-year, and lifetime options also available.
